Faith is being fully persuaded that there exists a being who in his nature is always lovely, faithful, and the very epitome of perfection. It is the willingness of the heart to hope and thus believe that a perfect being must exist outside our imperfect world. Only a God, perfect in love, would sacrifice Himself and die. Only a God, perfect in holiness, could pay our ransom - trading His perfection for our sinfulness. And though Jesus died in the flesh, death could not contain God who is perfect in power; Rising from the dead, He promises a new life: salvation at the cross and the restoration of sweet communion with His Spirit. This is the gift of perfection to those who believe.
